I LOVE Interior Design and Styling
I am always looking for ways to make over people’s homes on a tight budget whilst still making it look luxe!
Having renovated several properties on a small budget together with my husband I know it can be done without sacrificing quality and looks.
Our Swedish House on the Bellarine Peninsula which was featured as a 2017 finalist in Home Beautiful Magazines “Beautiful Room Competition” is a great example.
After many years working in retail management and banking I decided to follow my dream and turn my passion into a career by helping others create beautiful homes by providing interior design and styling advice.
Your home interiors are just like fashion, what is fashionable today might not be tomorrow.
And given that we are now spoiled with some amazing affordable retailers such as Kmart, H&M Home, IKEA etc., you can update and change the way your home looks all the time.
A beautiful home does not need to be expensive!

How to hang and display art
The number one thing I see and often talk about during my In House Consultations is how to hang and display artwork. Very often artwork or images are hung much to high up on the wall or too low. And often I see artwork that are looking really lonely and too small to be placed on a bare wall on their own. So below I will give you some simple tips on how to hang and display you wall art. And please dont be afraid to add art and decor to your walls, it makes a home feel really warm and inviting!

Swedish Saffron & White Chocolate Cake
To Swedish people there is just something about the taste and smell of saffron. We usually associate this with Winter and Christmas which is why I decided to make this cake on a cold and rainy Winter's day in Melbourne, and a big bout of homesickness made me want to make something that reminded me of home, Sweden.
